With the peak of rising temperatures in the Chicagoland area, come increases in gun violence. One warm week in May led to at least 16 people were wounded and one dead as gang-related shootings broke out throughout Chicago.At the end of every school year, a notable amount of students are wounded or killed due to violence at schools. As we head into this summer, there is a fear for our children's safety. Goddess Magazine shares this concern with the community and our summer issue introduces phenomenal people who have overcome struggles and negative statistics.
